What is IngBoo™ |

IngBoo is the clutter free, easy-to-use Internet retrieval utility that allows you to track the information that's important to you. This information can include all of your favorite Websites, as well as job and apartment listings, eBay auctions, Craig's List posts, the latest news, weather, traffic, sports scores, RSS feeds, Twitter updates, celebrity gossip, YouTube videos and more. When the information on a particular Website you're tracking changes, IngBoo retrieves those updates, refreshes your page and let you know that your new content has arrived.
Your IngBoo list means no more time wasted wading through numerous Websites to get that one piece of information that really interests you. IngBoo is the information you want when you want it: in glanceable and snackable snippets. Even better, IngBoo is optimized for mobile devices (such as the iPhone, BlackBerry and G1), enabling you to easily access your information anywhere you go.
Browse to your favorite topic in the IngBoo catalog and click to select. After you add the topic in your list, updates will appear in your list in the form of "snippets".
You can select from a variety of information topics from the IngBoo catalog.
If you don't see what you're looking for in the catalog, you can also connect with information topics that matter to you via the search tool bar. Enter specific topics to watch and then select those you want to track from the search results. Alternatively, you can simply copy and paste the URL of your favorite RSS feed or Website to receive those updates.
You don't need to create an account to use IngBoo. However, creating your own IngBoo account allows you to save your IngBoo list and any updates you make along the way, which saves you time. You can create your IngBoo account at any time by clicking the "Sign Up" link at the top of the IngBoo main page.
Your IngBoo list is ordered by priority and/or "freshness" of information. When you add a new snippet to your IngBoo list, mouse over the pie icon on the right-hand side and select "Customize" to assign the priority level to the item.
Snippets with the highest priority and/or the most recent updates get moved to the top of your list. Information snippets that expire or that you've already read automatically trickle to the bottom of the list. This ensures that you will always find the most relevant information at the top of your IngBoo list. You can further customize your snippets by adding your own title and by applying filters (see below) to further narrow down your search.
The pie icon in the snippet indicates how fresh the information is. A completely orange pie means that the information contained in the snippet is the most current available. As time passes, the information ages and eventually expires and the pie gradually turns white. After expiration, the information snippet moves to the bottom of the list, allowing you to focus on the most current information snippets.
You can also manually send a snippet to the bottom of your list by mousing over the bottom-left corner and clicking "Done.":
IngBoo snippets can be customized to only update when particular keyword(s) appears in the latest update. This is very useful when you are looking for very specific updates (e.g., macintosh). Simply apply your settings using the "customize" button:
If you want to revisit older information updates, mouse over the bottom right-hand corner of the snippet and select the down-arrow button to view the last three updates:
You can share your favorite IngBoo snippet with your friends. Just highlight the snippet, mouse over the pie icon on the right-hand side and click "Share." Then, simply enter your friend's e-mail address in the corresponding field and click "Send."
Via Smartphone
You can access your IngBoo List on most smartphones by browsing to www.ingboo.com. Note: to access IngBoo on a mobile device, you need to be a registered user. If you don't have an account yet, Sign Up now. Creating an account allows you to save your IngBoo List.
Via E-Mail
IngBoo automatically sends "IngBoo Pulse" e-mail reminders about updates to your IngBoo List once a day. You can customize delivery options by selecting Preferences from the top of the page containing your IngBoo List. From here, you can customize delivery time, format and other features of your IngBoo Pulse e-mail.
IngBoo is a free service that dramatically increases site traffic and earns you revenue. IngBoo RSS button can be placed anywhere on your site. Your readers can use it to instantly preview and subscribe to your content and get ongoing updates.
